TRIS-HCL balanced salt buffer is short for TBS. A buffer solution commonly used in biological research, it is a water-based salt solution containing sodium chloride, Tris and tris-Hcl. TBS buffers have a strong buffer capacity, help maintain a constant pH, are inert to many enzyme reactions, and are a good buffer for biochemical reactions. Use double distilled water to dilute to 2000ml before use, and use as soon as possible after dissolution.
